Larch Arabinogalactan + 20% Dihydroquercetin

Fermentable prebiotic fiber + antioxidant

Our larch arabinogalactan is produced in such a way that it contains 20% dihydroquercetin and thus is a fermentable prebiotic fiber with the antioxidant capacity of dihydroquercetin (taxifolin).

Larch arabinogalactan is an uncommon dietary and food supplement ingredient. Its unique characteristics make it suitable for use in a variety of nutraceutical, as well as food and beverage applications. Clinically, it is a very useful nutraceutical that is receiving increased attention. It is a prebiotic fermentable fiber which has been shown to be beneficial for immune support, as well as a liver protectant. Larch arabinogalactan and dihydroquercetin are both approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration as GRAS Affirmed (Generally Recognized as Safe) direct food additives.
Larch arabinogalactan is a polysaccharide prebiotic fiber, which is not digested, but passed through to the large interesting where it is fermented by beneficial intestinal bacteria. Thereby, its consumption increases beneficial anaerobic bacteria such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus in the gut. Due to bacterial fermentation, Larch arabinogalactan has a caloric content of 1.4kcal/g without increasing insulin levels. Its chemical properties confer to it complete water solubility and stability over a wide range of concentrations, temperatures, and pH values.

Larch arabinogalactans are highly branched polysaccharides of 10 to 120 kilodaltons. are of the 3,6-beta-D-galactan type and consist of galactose and arabinose in a 6 to 1 ratio. Larch arabinogalactan has a a galactan backbone that features β-(1,3) linkages and galactose β-(1,6) and arabinose β-(1,6 and 1,3) sugar side chains. In general Larch AG has a total carbohydrate content range of 85% to 95% and a total dietary fiber range of 80% to 90%.
Our larch arabinogalactan is produced in such a way that it contains 20% dihydroquercetin. It has all of the properties of larch arabinogalactan, plus the antioxidant capacity the dihydroquercetin (taxifolin) confers. This makes our larch arabinogalactan a more efficient antioxidant than either vitamin C or vitamin E, and is ideally suited for use in high quality nutraceuticals and supplements, as an ideal value added ingredient in a variety of food and beverage applications, as well as cosmetics.
